Compassion · Prayer

We talk to
our Father.

Prayer isn't the last resort when everything else fails — it's the first thing, the foundation under everything else we do. It's how a family stays close to the One who holds it together.

Why we pray

Connection, not performance.

God isn't impressed by long words or polished phrases. Prayer is simply talking with a Father who already loves you — honest, ongoing, unhurried. It's less a ritual to perform and more a relationship to keep.

So we pray about everything and we pray all the time — in the car, at the kitchen table, in the quiet before the lights come up on Sunday. Some prayers are desperate; some are just grateful. All of them keep us connected to God, and a connected church is a church that can actually do something.

If you don't know how to start, that's okay. You don't need the right words. You just need to begin.

1 Thessalonians 5 : 16–18Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in everything.
Philippians 4 : 6–7Don't be anxious — bring everything to God, and his peace guards your heart.
Matthew 6 : 6Pray in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
Mark 1 : 35Even Jesus rose early and went to a quiet place to pray.
A word to stand on
"Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks."
1 Thessalonians 5 : 17–18
Prayer & fasting

Two hands of the
same reach.

All through Scripture, prayer and fasting show up together. Fasting doesn't twist God's arm — it quiets ours. When we set aside something we'd normally lean on, we're saying, with our whole body, that we want God more than we want comfort.

Prayer is the words. Fasting is the hunger underneath them. Together they sharpen our attention and draw us near to God in a way that words alone sometimes can't.

The goal of fasting

Draw near to God.

Not a diet. Not a dare. Not a way to earn anything. Fasting clears space — so the loudest hunger in us becomes hunger for him.

The prayer team

Someone is praying for you.

Our prayer team is a group of people who count it a privilege to carry your requests to God — quietly, faithfully, and for as long as it takes.

01

Every request, prayed

Nothing you share disappears into a void. Every request that comes in is read and prayed over by a real person on the team.

02

At the altar on Sunday

After each service, the team is down front and ready to pray with you in person — about anything, no appointment needed.

03

Held in confidence

What you share stays with the team. We hold your story carefully and keep praying long after the moment has passed.
