One house. One week.
One family — forever.
A team from Compassion flew to the Dominican Republic and built a home, start to finish, alongside our partners at Casas por Cristo. It was the 70,427th house they've completed. Here's the story.
From a foundation
to a front door.
They landed with tools, sweat, and a plan — and got to work. Over a handful of days, a bare lot became a finished home: walls raised, roof set, doors hung, and a family welcomed in.
But the house was never really the point. The point was the family — sitting with them, praying with them, and showing the love of Jesus in something as concrete as four walls and a roof that keeps the rain out.
Our team came home tired, sunburned, and changed. Full story & details coming from the team
Photos & video.
What they saw.
Real testimonies from the team are on the way. For now, placeholders to hold the shape.
